Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, “Jeff” D’Jeff Kanda Nkashama is working towards his PhD at the University de Sherbrooke in Canada. D’Jeff is driven by finding ways to utilize data science in solving real-world problems, especially in areas where the population does not universally have internet access or smartphones.

The HLFF Spotlight Podcast highlights some of the young researchers participating in the digital 8th HLF 2021. In these informal interviews, the focus is to provide a window into the personalities of these bright young minds.
